copyright policy

We respect intellectual property and expect our users to do the same. We respond to clear notices of copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and we close the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

Reporting infringement

Send a notice to our designated agent with:

1. your physical or electronic signature;
2. the copyrighted work you say is infringed;
3. the material you say infringes it, and where it is in the Services (a link is best);
4. your name, postal address, phone number and email;
5. a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
6. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Knowingly false claims can lead to liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

Counter-notices

If your material was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to the agent above with your signature, the material and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your name, address and phone number with consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or Clark County, Nevada if you are outside the U.S.) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice. We may restore the material 10 to 14 business days later unless the complainant tells us they have filed a court action.
